WHO WE ARE

Ubalozi Kenya was founded by Nkrumah and Fezi Mauncho. We were both born in Kenya, lived in Canada and have now moved back to Kenya with our three daughters. Our hearts beat with a passion to see people and communities thrive and live out their full God-given potential.

We are motivated by the fact that people have the potential and capacity for tremendous creativity and are particularly curious about how we can harness and develop this creativity to help individuals and communities.

We carry a special passion to see the children and youth in our communities realize and begin to walk out their leadership capabilities as they are fully part of the process of community and systemic transformation. They are today’s leaders, a source of inspiration and motivation for national transformation. Being African, we are keenly aware of the struggles and hardships faced by Africans in general, but Kenyans in particular.

We live and breathe by the knowledge that these struggles can be overcome and that there are solutions to every single one of the problems we encounter on a daily basis as a nation. We have given our lives to finding those solutions, by mobilising a generation to be creative and innovate. Art is the vehicle through which Ubalozi as an entity will innovate and infuse life into our communities.
